
Vanessa Minnillo The New Bongo Girl
Bongo announced today that CBS’s “Entertainment Tonight” correspondent and co-host of MTV’s “TRL”, Vanessa Minnillo will appear in the brand’s multi-media advertising campaign for Spring 2007. The campaign will debut in March issues of fashion and lifestyle magazines as well as on the internet. This is the first endorsement deal for Vanessa who has graced the cover of numerous magazines.
The campaign showcases an ultra sexy Vanessa posing in 1960’s pin-up inspired poses. The campaign featuring Bongo sportswear, accessories, footwear and swimwear, was shot by renowned fashion photographer, Matthew Rolston at New York City’s famous Splashlight Studios.
Commenting on her first endorsement deal, Minnillo stated, “I shot my very first ad campaign and I am the new Bongo girl and I am very excited, honored and pleased. I got the call and it was a no brainer. I have always loved Bongo, I love the jeans but I didn’t realize the wide range of Bongo products.”
Commenting the new advertising campaign, Dari Marder, Creative Director, Bongo, stated, “Bongo always partners with the latest ‘it’ girls for its advertising and marketing campaigns and this season that girl is definitely Vanessa. She is funny, charming and beautiful. She’s the embodiment of the Bongo girl.”
Vanessa will make personal appearances on behalf of Bongo as well participate in other events to celebrate her partnership with the brand.
Vanessa follows in the footsteps of past Bongo spokeswomen, Kristin Cavallari, Nicole Richie and Rachel Bilson.
