Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie are back with a new season of The Simple Life — this time called “The Simple Life Goes to Camp” — where the rich gals will be camp counselors. At a recent press day for the show, Paris and Nicole opened up about how they started speaking and became best friends again.

What spurred Paris on to get back in touch: “It was Nicole’s birthday and I really missed her and I just decided to pick up the phone and call her.”

Nicole added: “We just got together that night and it was like there was never anything that happened. It was weird, like we had seen each other yesterday.”
