According to a report in this week’s Star magazine, Jessica Simpson branded the Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo hot tub pictures “tacky” — and quite rightfully so! The magazine cites a source that says, “Jess was lunching with some friends and someone brought up the hot tub pictures. Jessica scrunched up her nose, made a face and said, ‘That is sooo tacky. Have some modesty!” The source added, “Jessica thinks that carrying on like that was classless. She suspects Vanessa knew she was being photographed and played to the cameras. She wouldn’t put it past her to have staged the scene.”

Meanwhile, OK! Magazine have reportedly paid $400,000 for the exclusive rights to the photos of Nick and Vanessa getting down and dirty in a hot tub in Mexico. Reports say that the mag only bought the pictures to keep them off the market and to keep Nick and Vanessa happy. After all, the couple did give OK! their first ever interview and photo shoot.

A source said, “There’s much worse stuff than what got out there on the Internet. If Nick’s fans saw it all, it would definitely change his career, because he kind of has a squeaky-clean image.”

David and Victoria Beckham have now landed in America. The hot couple was met at LAX by an incredible amount of paparazzi, who had camped out for hours, waiting for David and Victoria to arrive at their home.

Mrs. Cruise, better known as Katie Holmes, took her adorable daughter Suri to a park in Berlin yesterday, after reportedly being turned away from Berlin Fashion Week’s opening party. The actress and hubby Tom Cruise are said to have been denied entry because the venue had reached capacity. Katie, 28, is in Germany while Tom, 45, films the controversial Valkyrie, a film about a 1944 plot to assassinate Adolf Hitler.

Jessica Simpson is on the cover of August’s Harper’s Bazaar and inside the mag she talks a bit about Newlyweds, plastic surgery, and about how she dresses for men. Excerpts below:

On people’s changing perceptions of her since her Newlyweds days:
“I don’t think people really know me anymore. Everybody used to see my day-to-day life; you saw a lot of my personality and my goofiness…I like falling on my face and getting up again, because everybody does it. Everybody has burped at the dinner table once in her life and said excuse me, you know?”

On the subtle differences between her and sister Ashlee Simpson:
“The difference between me and my sister – she goes to a thrift store and can buy something for 20 bucks, and I have to go buy a black button-down at Barneys. For $900. Because it’s a collector’s item.”

On whether she would ever have plastic surgery:
“I love the bump in my nose. People have said that I’ve had things like a jaw replacement or implant or something. I’m photographed everyday of my life and have never worn any bandages or anything, so how could that be right? But maybe after having kids, if my boobs dropped down to my belly button, I would get them lifted…Maintenance. But you know, my boobs are real.”

On who all the effort is for:
“I dress for men. I dress for men and myself. If I’m dressing for men, then I know it’s good for myself!”

Rachel Bilson appeared at the Chip and Pepper Denim Launch Party held yesterday in California. Miss Bilson has been laying low since The O.C. finished, but did recently finish filming a movie called Jumper.

David and Victoria Beckham have left London and are on a plane right now on their way to Los Angeles — their new home. The ridiculously handsome couple and their kids were met at Heathrow airport by a throng of paparazzi who wished them good luck.

Buh-bye, the paparazzi will miss you.

Travis Barker and wife Shanna Moakler, who have been on-off for a while, are now off again – but this time, a source insists, it’s for good. “About a month ago, they separated again,” the source close to Moakler tells People magazine. “She moved out. As far as she’s concerned, it’s over. She loves him, but it’s one of those relationships where they keep trying to make it work but it doesn’t.”

Moakler, the source says, is taking the split hard: “She’s very upset. She gave this marriage her all. She really loves him.”

No reason was given for the split. Barker‘s rep didn’t immediately respond for comment.

Carmen Electra unveiled a new darker look at the 2007 ESPY Awards, held yesterday in Hollywood, CA. When talking to reporters on the red carpet at the event, Carmen was asked about ex-hubby Dave Navarro and says they are staying close, “we talk on the phone all the time, almost every day. It’s been great because we’ve been able to stay friends.” Carmen says it makes perfect sense to remain close to her former flame, with whom she starred on the MTV reality show Til Death Do Us Part. “We were friends to begin with. Why wouldn’t you want to stay friends with someone that you share such a big part of your life with?” Asked if she’s dating anyone new, Electra said: “No, just being single.”

Back from her vacation in Hawaii, Reese Witherspoon was spotted shopping in Beverly Hills yesterday afternoon, looking exhausted and a bit annoyed. Next up for Reese, the movie Sammy, due to be released in 2008.
