Lucky for the 33-year-old actress, her chauffer is an excellent driver, as he managed to maneuver their limo to the side of the road after a bird hurtled through the windshield.
Cameron Diaz dodged death last week when the unfortunate bird smashed through the frong windshield of her car, covering her and her chauffeur with glass.

She was on her way to film scenes for Jude Law movie ‘The Holiday’ in Surrey, England, and managed to duck just in time when the accident occurred.

Diaz was saved by her driver’s steadiness and good sense.  Instead of swerving or panicking, he simply pulled into the nearest garage.

One observer, possibly a mechanic, was quoted as saying, “There is no doubt that he saved Cameron’s life.  Other drivers would have panicked and lost control but he remained very cool.”

“All you had to do was look at the damage to the windscreen to realise there had been one hell of an impact.”

The plan should have been flawless.  Justin Timberlake was to fly to see girlfriend Cameron Diaz in London, surprise his sweetie and shower her with gifts and they could be two romantic Americans wandering the streets of Europe ala Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt.

One problem, Cameron’s busy filming schedule of ‘The Holiday’ in Surrey with Jude Law has put the kibosh on the reunion.

Victoria Newton details that JT has hardly seen Cam because she’s been working such long hours.
Instead, he’s been holed up in a posh spa hotel near the film set – moping around on his own.

A source told me: “Justin has been taking treatments in the afternoon just to pass the time.

“He looked really down as he sat eating alone.

“Cameron’s been arriving back at 2am so it’s hardly been the romantic Valentine’s week Justin was planning.”

Even after spending a few quid in the shops Justin still looked really down, the paper reported.

A report set for press in the American tabloid Life & Style will dish this week that Cam is worried that he may be cheating with Christina.

Just to make certain she keeps her man happy, Cameron planned to make Justin’s 25th birthday one to remember, the item dishes.  On Jan. 31, the couple partied at Las Vegas’ Pure nightclub - then headed for a bed in the VIP area, where Cam, 33, grabbed JT “for a long makeout session,” a witness tells the weekly.

But - the L&S love report will detail that Christina, 26, is head over heels for Justin, and Cameron is so upset, she confronted Justin and demanded to know if he was sleeping with the buxom actress, insiders say.

One insider says Justin denied it, angrily asking Cam, “Can’t I have a friend other than you?”

Rumors that Christina is crazy about Justin surfaced when she dumped boyfriend Adam Goldberg, 35, after she filmed ‘Black Snake Moan’ with Justin.

Since then, the report reads,  Christina and Justin talk often on the phone.

“He calls her as much as she calls him,” says a pal of Justin’s.  “She’s causing a lot of problems for JT and Cameron.

Cue the reps:  Justin and Christina’s reps deny the story, but Cam’s rep didn’t respond to a request for comment.

There have been whispers that Justin Timberlake’s co-star Christina Ricci may have her eyes on the handsome singer, but JT is reportedly off to London to spend Valentine’s Day with his three-year sweetie Cameron Diaz.

Britney Spears is working on a new album to boost the “boring” American pop scene.

Spears, who is now anxious to resume her music career, revealed in People Magazine that a new record could be released later this year.

Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston have decided who gets what in their £34.5m (€50.6m) divorce settlement, according to reports.

The actress will be the sole owner of their £16.6m (€24.3m) Beverly Hills mansion after their assets are divvied up almost a year after she filed for divorce, IMDB.com reported.

But Pitt – now in a relationship with Angelina Jolie – apparently gets control of the former celebrity couple’s lucrative film company Plan B Productions, with Aniston retaining only a “minor stake“.

The production firm, which was behind a string of 12 successful independent movie releases including Tim Burton’s Charlie And The Chocolate Factory, is thought to be worth more than £28m (€41m).

The offices of Beyonce’s record label have also been flooded with mail from furious PETA cultists, incensed by the pink mink the star wore to the premiere of her new movie ‘The Pink Panther’.

A spokesperson for PETA defends the criticism of Beyonce:  “She is profiting from the most violent and bloody industry on Earth and should be ashamed.”

The Pink Panther leaped to No. 1 at the box office, largely due to the presence of the long-legged beauty.

Singer and songwriter Beyoncé Knowles wants to do more challenging roles in films, reports say.

Knowles has so far been seen in eye candy roles in comedies like ‘Austin Powers’ and the latest ‘The Pink Panther’. Now the sultry beauty wants to do roles that can hone her acting skills.

Comingsoon.net quotes Knowles as drawing analogy between her singing acts and acting in films: “I can come out of my shell when I’m on the stage. Now I’m learning in films I can do the same thing with different characters.”

Knowles is hopeful that her upcoming film ‘Dreamgirls’ would showcase her acting abilities.

The film is directed by Bill Condon and stars Jamie Foxx and Eddie Murphy in the lead roles.

In the film, Knowles plays Deena, who matures from a 16-year-old girl to a 36-year-old woman in the course of the story.

“I have dramatic scenes and emotional scenes and all these colors, and I’m so excited because people are going to see me act for the first time,” Knowles is quoted by comingsoon as saying about her role in the movie.

Canadian rock rebel Avril Lavigne says she has finally discovered fashion and wants to star in “really beautiful” ads.

The stunning singer has signed to Ford Models agency and says she’s ditching her grunge image.

She said: “I’m starting to feel more feminine. I’m getting into hair and make-up and image. That’s the best part of being a girl.”

And Avril thinks she’d be a great model.

“I look through magazines and stare at ads and think, ‘I’m not six feet tall, but I know I can do that’,” she said. “I want to do those really beautiful ads with the high-end products.”

Meanwhile, Avril has signed up to make her acting debut in a screen adaptation of Eric Schlosser’s bestselling expose FastFood Nation.

She will share the screen with Patricia Arquette, Ethan Hawke, and Lindsay Lohan’s ex, Wilmer Valderrama, among others.

The movie, based on the book which exposed secrets of the fast food industry, will be released later this year.
