Nicole Richie and Joel Madden started the new year with a fun day out at Six Flags Magic Mountain on Saturday (January 3) with some of the kids from the Beyond Shelter foundation.
Richie and Madden, who have daughter Harlow together, are reportedly planning to leave Los Angeles for a quieter life in Madden’s native Maryland. Harlow turns 1 in a few days and the couple are keen to have her grow up outside the craziness of L.A.
A source close to the couple says: “With Harlow turning 1 soon, Joel really wants her to grow up far from the craziness of L.A. Nicole’s never lived anywhere but Los Angeles, but she’s anxious for a change of scenery and slower pace now that she’s a mom and soon-to-be wife. Joel can’t wait to get out of the L.A. rat race.”
The source adds: “Nicole’s matured tremendously since becoming a mom. Her priorities have changed.”
