Jennifer Garner Says No to Bikini Scenes
Jennifer Garner begged for bikini scenes in her new movie Catch & Release to be removed because she was still losing her baby weight and didn’t want to subject movie fans to her chubby look. The star admits she was so keen to play with baby Violet when the tot was first born, she couldn’t get motivated to hit the gym – and as the movie’s deadline got nearer and nearer she knew she’d be in no shape for sexy scenes.
She says, “It got a little ridiculous and I got on the treadmill and I lost weight. It’s that simple. I stopped stuffing my face and I started running and lost weight. I cut out bagels and croissants and muffins and all the good stuff and went back to having a salad once a day with some protein. I can’t do a crash diet. I know that if I do that I’ll just gain more back… There were actually a couple of bikini scenes in ‘Catch & Release,’ where I said, ‘I can’t get ready for a bikini that quickly; take it out.’”
And her husband Ben Affleck’s pal Kevin Smith, who joins her in the new film, didn’t help her weight loss – by introducing her to McDonald’s McGriddles. She adds, “He started bringing them to the set for me after stopping at McDonald’s. Those are pancakes stuffed with syrup inside of them and then sausage. They bowled me over. That’s one thing you cut out when you want to
lose weight.”
