Christina Aguilera kicked off the 2008 American Music Awards with a medley of “Beautiful,” “Keeps Gettin’ Better,” “Genie in a Bottle,” “Dirrty,” “Ain’t No Other Man” and “Fighter.”
In other news, Aguilera has spoken out about her husband Jordan saying he is her rock and is nothing like her own father, who was emotionally and physically abusive, prompting her mother to split from him when Christina was just 6-years-old.
“I don’t think my [motherhood] has anything to do with my father, to be honest. I think that Jordan is such an incredible father and, you know, whether or not anything would ever happen to us, I know he would always be very much a part of Max’s life. I can’t say the same for my own father. If he had been different it might have been a different situation, but you reap what you sow.â€
