The Sex And The City movie hasn’t even finished filming yet, but a source on set has revealed that the writers are already thinking of making a sequel!!
“The producers are already working on a script for a second movie, they are so convinced the first will be a hit.”
And if that wasn’t enough, they might even make three movies. The source added “They are exercising the sequel option in all of the stars’ contracts. They want it to be a franchise and think they can stretch it over at least three movies.”
How great is this?! Hopefully it happens!
Sex And The City Movie is due to premiere in the spring of 2008.
The lovely Kim Cattrall who plays fabulous Samantha Jones in the upcoming Sex and the City Movie is pictured above being attacked by an animal rights activist while wearing a white fur coat, during filming in New York recently. Her face in the far right picture is hilarious — classic Samantha! Cattrall recently revealed in an interview with British mag Reveal that she is only doing the SATC Movie for the money.
Cattrall famously negotiated hard over payment for the film, and reportedly had a bust up over Parker’s $US3 million salary - twice that of her co-stars. She told Reveal magazine: “It will be nice to step into Samantha’s shoes again, but I’m only doing it for the money. Samantha is very dear to me and I have such a wonderful time playing her, but I can say for experience than wanting financial security. We did it, we did it well. But it was always about the money.” She continued: “When I made a stand about not being in the movie because I thought the money was terrible, there was a backlash of very negative things from some of my co-stars. The role is very much a double-edged sword.”
Cattrall also said viewers can expect her popular character to ring in an important milestone in the upcoming film. She said: “I really wanted Samantha to turn 50 in the film and she does, so I’m grateful for that. I’m glad she isn’t hiding her age. “After 50, you can still be a woman - you can go shopping, have friends and do lunch. At 50 - you can love and be loved.”
Well, at least she’s honest. I’m so glad she’s in the movie, it wouldn’t have been the same without Miss Samantha Jones.

Sex and the City: The Movie recently started shooting and it already has Sarah Jessica Parker running in killer heels on the streets of New York. This time however, she isn’t running off to a business meeting or to the dry cleaners or even to shoe-shop, she is running into the arms of Mr. Big aka Chris Noth. Sarah Jessica Parker appeared at Steve & Barry’s today, in New York, to launch her new clothing Bitten. Hundreds of women rushed to the mall, where SJP herself appeared and answered questions. She says her clothes are affordable for the average woman, ranging from $20 dresses to $10 tops. The Sex and the City star said she made sure her clothes were affordable because she believes its “every woman’s inalienable right to have a pulled-together, stylish, confident wardrobe with money left over to live.”
“Fashion is not a luxury, it’s a right” — ah, I love it! The former Miss Carrie Bradshaw, Sarah Jessica Parker, is only days away from launching her new clothing line Bitten. The launch party has already taken place, which is where the above pictures are from, but you’ll have to wait until June 7th to see it hit the stores and buy some for yourself.

Although it has yet to be confirmed by the big bosses, it seems the Sex And The City movie is definitely happening! All the cast members are ready to roll. Us Weekly reports:
“I’m hoping that we’ll be hitting the street soon in our high heels!” Kim Cattrall tells Us.
Seconds comedian Mario Cantone, “I hope it all goes smoothly and it gets done, because I want to do it very badly.”
“I think it’s going to happen,” Cynthia Nixon tells Us of plans for a
film.
But details on the flick (which sources say is still only “in development” three years after news first surfaced) are closely guarded.
For his part, Jason Lewis tells Us he is trying to be patient: “We’ll just have to wait and see.”
Sex and the City’s adorable Charlotte York, also known has Kristin Davis (she will forever be Charlotte York to me though) attended the Yves Saint Laurent “Downtown” Event, held yesterday in California. Davis recently spoke out about the, hopefully upcoming, Sex and The City movie saying she would be “the happiest person in the world” if it happens. She will not, I will. All joking aside, I really hope this movie is going to happen and hopefully in the near future.
And by the way, how great does Kristin look? She’s 42!
Chris Noth, who’s still best known for playing Mr. Big on Sex and the City, is ready to repent for all the harm that series did to New York. At the opening-night party for Talk Radio, he lamented, “What makes me really sick is how New York now looks like a bad imitation of Sex and the City. Meatpacking is a good example of just how fucked up it is. You can’t have a city that’s interesting where the only people living in it are rich. When I came here as a kid, as a young adult, you could get lost—many different worlds collided. You cannot say that today.” And his success has done the same thing to him. “As an actor, you can maybe move someone, make them laugh, make them think,” he says. “As a celebrity, you’re nothing but a snapshot for somebody to put above their urinal.” So don’t go and call him Mr. Big, okay? “It’s rude! When people call me ‘Mr. Big,’ I can’t help feeling a kind of contempt.”
