A grumpy and camera shy Scarlett Johansson pictured arriving at the Saturday Night Live after party. I don’t know why celebrities bother sticking out their hand like that when there are photographers around. It doesn’t really do anything. The snapper gets his shot anyway and the pictures are sold. I guess its more of a sign that she is in no mood to be photographed and you better step back.

The Nanny Diaries Pushed Back
Someone has high hopes for this movie.
The release date of actress Scarlett Johansson’s new movie, which also stars Alicia Keys, has been delayed for five months, in order to stand a better chance for next year’s awards ceremonies. The Nanny Diaries - an adaptation of the best-selling novel by Emma McLaughlin and Nicola Kraus - stars Johansson alongside Laura Linney, and the comedy was originally due for release next month.
But production bosses have now pushed back the film’s release to September, in the hope that it will benefit come awards time from better scheduling.
A source tells PageSix, “It’s better for awards consideration. This is a better plan.”

Scarlett Johansson in Parade
Scarlett Johansson opens up, in the new issue of Parade magazine, about how she feels about the celebrity culture, about being called sexy and about how she thinks she looks like a boy (what?!). Read some excerpts below:
On being called sexy:
“It’s a nice compliment, I guess. It’s funny, because for a male actor the idea of being sexy can be very daunting. A lot of young male actors want to be chameleons and play all different kinds of characters. For a woman, I think it’s always a compliment to have people think you’re attractive.”
On celebrity culture:
“Reality television and tabloid magazines - never before did we need to see movie stars taking out their garbage. But all of the sudden, it’s front page news — trying to figure out who’s dating whom, all that stuff. Who cares? There are so many other things, shocking news stories that we should be paying attention to.”
On looking like a boy:
“I don’t think my features are entirely feminine. Yes, I have full lips and obviously I have no facial hair. But…take somebody like Penelope Cruz. She’s so feminine. Think about it. She has, like, long eyelashes, and to me she just looks very feminine. When I wake up in the morning and I have no makeup on, like right now, I think I look like a young boy.”
On partying under the radar:
“Of course, I go out with my friends a lot, and we always have a good time. I’m 22, and we dance and have fun. I don’t feel paranoid about that. But I just lay low. Sometimes you get caught, and there’s nothing you can do about it.”

Scarlett Johansson @ 2007 Grammy Awards
Scarlett Johansson presented an award last night at the 2007 Grammy Awards, but that’s not as exciting as her talking about the rumored fling with Justin Timberlake! People magazine has the scoop:
Scarlett Johansson addressed rumors about her relationship with Justin Timberlake: Yes, she filmed a music video with the “SexyBack” singer, she told E!’s Giuliana DePandi on the red carpet. And they have been spotted out together on several occasions. But the actress insists they’re just friends. “We have a lot of friends in common, and Justin’s a sweetheart, and it’s always good to see him,” Johansson said, “but there’s a lot of speculation and I try not to read that stuff. I think when two people are single and are seen together, it’s immediately like a crazy feeding frenzy.”

Don’t count on Scarlett Johansson to turn into one of those Hollywood actresses that suddenly drops a bunch of “baby fat” (it’s not baby fat if you are old enough to actually have a baby) and credits an impromptu boost in metabolism. The Black Dahlia star is speaking out against the Hollywood slim fast trend, calling it “unsexy,” Starpulse blog reports.
“I try to stay fit and eat healthily, but I’m not anxious to starve myself and become unnaturally thin,” she says. “I don’t find that look attractive on women and I don’t want to become part of that trend. It’s unhealthy and it puts too much pressure on women in general who are being fed this image of the ideal, which it is not.
She continues: “I think America has become obsessed with dieting rather than focusing on eating well, exercising and living a healthy life. I also think that being ultra-thin is not sexy at all. Women shouldn’t be forced to conform to unrealistic and unhealthy body images that the media promote. I don’t need to be skinny to be sexy.”
