Rachel McAdams - where have you been? We missed you. The adorable Rachel walked the red carpet at the premiere of “Married Life” at The 32nd Annual Toronto International Film Festival earlier today. In other great news, Rachel and Ryan are still together, despite everyone thinking they broke up a long time ago. The couple haven’t been seen together in ages, but at a recent press conference for Ryan’s new movie, Lars And The Real Girl, he mentioned Rachel and told reporters they are very much still an item. Yippee!

There’s been rumors going around for quite some time that Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams broke up right before the Oscars this year. But now, rumor has it the two are in fact still together and are engaged to be married.

eTalk has pictures of Rachel at the Four Seasons Hotel in Toronto on Wednesday, with a ring on her left hand. The actress was at a lunch meeting at the Four Seasons and as she prepared to bike away, a ring was spotted on her left hand.

McAdams met Gosling during the filming of their 2004 movie, “The Notebook.” They won the MTV Movie Award for Best Kiss in 2005, which they re-enacted on stage at the awards show.

eTalk gossip columnist Elaine Lui writes on her blog today: “Rachel is exceedingly uncomfortable with those who wish The Notebook upon her relationship and as such would rather encourage break-up rumours than quell them.”

Ryan Talks Rachel

First Rachel McAdams told Elle that her boyfriend influenced her film choices – and now Ryan Gosling has returned the compliment.

“She’s kind. She doesn’t need any help from me. She’s inspired me to do so much as well,” Gosling, 26, said Sunday when asked about McAdams’s comments at a junket for his new thriller Fracture.

McAdams, 30, told the magazine’s April issue that her beau – and costar in 2004’s The Notebook – “never does the same thing twice. He’s very brave.”

But Gosling, a Best Actor Oscar nominee for Half Nelson, says McAdams has good judgment in her own right: “She’s the most discerning person I’ve ever met. She’ll read a script 100 times. She’s relentless.”

And she’s not bad looking, either: Asked to comment on McAdams’s cover shot for the magazine, Gosling was momentarily tongue-tied.

“Oh … yeah …” he said. “She looks stunning! Absolutely – yeah!”

Academy Award nominee Ryan Gosling, and his adorable girlfriend, the lovely, Rachel McAdams, or as I like to call them ‘Canada’s Cutest Couple’, stayed close as they walked the red carpet at the 2007 SAG Awards held on Sunday night.

Gosling and McAdams split briefly this year after becoming engaged. The lovers weren’t able to stay apart, though, and are now as in love as ever. According to a source for Life & Style Weekly, they’re back in the marrying mindset as well. The insider said, “Ryan didn’t have to repropose. He and Rachel just agreed it was time to think about getting married again because they had worked out their problems. Ryan says he’s thrilled that Rachel is wearing her engagement ring again, which Ryan gave her early in 2005. It was always a secret engagement, and they will never confirm it publicly, but it’s back on, and they’re happy again.”

Ryan is eager to get a move on with the nuptials and wants to avoid the pressure of an elaborate wedding. He’s decided instead to elope. Says the source, “Ryan says they’re looking for a good time to slip away and do it and he’s even said New Year’s might be the perfect time for him and Rachel to make things permanent. Starting a family and sharing their lives together is so much more important to them than which magazine they can sell their wedding pictures to.”

In an attempt to maintain their low profiles, the lovebirds are planning on staying away from the celebrity hubs of New York and Los Angeles. Instead they are now looking for a home in Toronto.

Gosling is in town shooting his new film, Lars and the Real Girl, whilst McAdams recently finished filming her new film, Marriage, a 1940s era drama about an adulterous man who plots to kill his wife to spare her the humiliation of a divorce.

Ryan Gosling does the heavy lifting Tuesday as he and girlfriend Rachel McAdams leave L.A. for New York City. As for rumors that the Notebook couple were shopping for wedding rings, McAdams – a St. Thomas, Ontario, native – told her hometown newspaper, “No, definitely not.”
