Nicole Richie Diagnosed with Hypoglycemia
“Nicole Richie has been diagnosed with hypoglycemia, a condition whereby the pancreas produces too much insulin, causing her blood-sugar levels to crash. E Online reports that the symptoms of hypoglycemia include faintness, fatigue and dizziness, all of which Riche has reportedly suffered from in recent months. Monsters and Critics quoted Richie’s rep, who said that, “In her ongoing effort to focus on her well-being, Nicole has recently discovered she has hypoglycemia. She is taking steps to manage it. Nicole has reported to work each day and the results have been fantastic.”

Hilary Duff Slams Joel & Nicole
Hilary Duff (inset) has slammed her ex boyfriend, Joel Madden, and his new girlfriend, Nicole Richie, who began dating shortly after Duff and Madden broke up. Duff’s new album, Dignity, is full of songs with lyrics directed towards Madden and his new skinny squeeze.
Some of the lyrics apparently go a little something like this: “Where’s your dignity? I think you lost it in the Hollywood Hills. Can’t buy respect but you can pick up that bill. Always with Mr. Right, but then you have a fight. Run into your friend’s ex, he’s happy to be your next. Tomorrow’s paper’s coming out so kiss him fast, watch the cameras flash.”
Duff, who dated Madden for two years, is also said to slate Richie on a track called ‘Gypsy Woman ‘ - branding ‘The Simple Life ‘ star “sick” and “shameless“. The lyrics read: “She lets you think that you found her first. That’s how she works her sick and twisted gypsy curse. Talks with a grin ’cause she’s got no shame. Enjoy the fame, bringing down the family name“.

Nicole and Joel Dine at Mr Chow
Nicole Richie and Joel Madden were spotted arriving at popular sushi restaurant Mr Chow over the weekend. Richie, who was hospitalized Friday for dehydration, seems to be doing just fine.

Nicole Richie Hospitalized
Nicole Richie suddenly fell ill on Friday, while filming the new series of The Simple Life, and was hospitalized. She received intravenous fluids for 15 minutes and was then released. Richie’s publicist has released the following statement:
“Nicole is home resting and will return to work this evening,” her rep said in a statement. “We are proud of the weight that Nicole is gaining and her focus on her health.”

Nicole Richie Charged with DUI
Nicole Richie was charged with a misdemeanor for driving under the influence (DUI) by the Los Angeles district attorney Friday. Richie was arrested on December 11 after driving the wrong way on a Los Angeles highway. Authorities found her stopped in a carpool lane and she subsequently failed a field sobriety test.
Because of a prior DUI conviction in 2003, according to California law, Richie faces mandatory jail time of 90 days and up to one year in prison if convicted of a second DUI.
According to police,the star admitted to officers at the time that she had smoked marijuana and taken the painkiller Vicodin. She was booked and released the next morning after posting $15,000 bail.
Richie will be arraigned in Los Angeles County Superior Court in Glendale, California on February 21.
