Hilary Duff, who was left heartbroken after Joel Madden and Nicole Richie started dating shortly after her relationship with Madden ended, acted mature when she found out her ex and his new love are expecting a baby. “After they appeared on Good Morning America, Hilary breezily texted Joel congratulations on the pregnancy, and Joel warmly responded,” a source tells Us Weekly.

Pregnant Nicole Richie and boyfriend Joel Madden are spending some time together in New York City, where Joel is currently touring with his band Good Charlotte. The parents-to-be went shopping in Soho on Sunday afternoon, followed by their good friends - the paparazzi.

Nicole Richie, escorted by the father of her unborn child Joel Madden, proudly showed off her baby bump as she left a hair salon in Hollywood on Thursday afternoon. Richie, who is four months pregnant, wore a white satin spaghetti-strap top that showed the baby bump and also some cleavage — umm hello there! Nicole told Diane Sawyer on 20/20 that she has already gained 10lbs since she got pregnant, and it shows — she looks great!

Paris Hilton is extremely excited and happy for her BFF Nicole Richie, who is four months pregnant with her rocker boyfriend Joel Madden. “She’s really happy,” Paris told People magazine about her pregnant friend at Wednesday’s Helio Ocean launch party (left) in West Hollywood. “I just got off the phone with her. She’s so excited. I know she’s going to be the best mom ever.” Paris added of the expectant parents, “They’re really in love.”

Nicole Richie and her baby-daddy Joel Madden were spotted outside Joel’s home yesterday afternoon, giving each other a tender little squeeze and a kiss. Aww!

Nicole Richie has been anything but mum about her jail sentence and her pregnancy. The tiny star opened up to Diane Sawyer on 20/20 and Good Morning America, where they showed home videos shot by Nicole herself and boyfriend Joel Madden, documenting the pregnancy. Nicole also spoke about gaining weight during her pregnancy, and says she doesn’t mind if she gains as much as 50lbs, “It’s what my baby needs,” she said. You can view all the segments here.

Nicole also opened up to OK! Magazine in what was an exclusive interview, but after reading it, not so much. Nicole’s answers are very short and a lot of it was already said in the interviews with Diane Sawyer. Either way it’s an ok read and has some cute exclusive photos. Nicole Richie has confirmed that she is indeed expecting her first child with boyfriend Joel Madden. “Yes, I am. We are. I’m almost four months,” Richie told Diane Sawyer in an exclusive interview which will air on “Good Morning America” Thursday and Friday and on “20/20″ Friday night.

Richie, who had Joel by her side the entire time, also speaks to Diane about her jail sentence, “I have a responsibility and it’s something that I did wrong, and if I could personally apologize to every single person that has lost a loved one from drunk driving I would. And unfortunately I can’t, but this is my way of paying my dues and taking responsibility and being an adult.”

After 5 seasons of The Simple Life, it has been announced by E! Networks that the current season, The Simple Life Goes to Camp, will be the last for the once popular “reality” show. A source at E! tells Us Weekly that overexposure is to blame for the show’s cancellation. “We felt like the real life drama of their lives overshadowed anything happening on the show,” says the source. “Viewers would see Paris all day long on the news about her going to jail, so they didn’t care about seeing her camping with kids. It just was too played out.” The insider also added that Nicole Richie became increasingly difficult to work with last season, “Paris carried the show. She was the one willing to do anything, Nicole was the diva.”

The show still has a chance if another network decides to pick it up, however that doesn’t seem to be happening and Paris Hilton has already come to terms with it. “It’s been a great five years and we had so much fun. I’m happy to end it at that,” Paris told reporters at the premiere of Rush Hour 3 on Monday night.

Nicole Richie has been sentenced to FOUR days in jail, after pleading guilty today in a Glendale, Calif., courthouse. Nicole agreed to serve a three-year probation term, must enroll in an alcoholic education program and has to pay a $2,048 fine. During the hearing, Los Angeles County Commissioner Steven Lubell admonished Richie, saying: “Someone could’ve gotten killed. You need to understand that driving under the influence is extremely dangerous.”

Nicole, who arrived with a little smile on her face, hair pulled back and wearing a loose-fitting black dress, showed up 10 minutes early for her 8:30 a.m. hearing, arm-in-arm with her boyfriend, Joel Madden, who was also dressed in black. They look like they’re going to a funeral.

Nicole must complete her jail time before Sept. 28.

Paris Hilton was sentenced to 45 days in jail for driving with a suspended license, while Nicole is sentenced to only 4, despite this being her second DUI — how incredibly unfair! Let’s hope Lindsay Lohan gets a few months behind bars, at least!

The tiny star has been doing a good job of not getting snapped by the paparazzi these last few weeks, ever since everyone started saying she was pregnant. However, one paparazzo got lucky (sorta) with this picture (left) of Nicole walking barefoot from her car to her dad Lionel Richie’s mansion in Bel Air. Nicole’s boyfriend Joel Madden was also spotted on the same day, going for a run in Los Angeles.
