After spending the last few days in Cannes, promoting her new movie project Major Movie Star, Jessica Simpson is now back in America, specifically New York City, and it seems she and John Mayer have already reconciled:

A guest who spotted Mayer leaving Simpson’s suite at the Soho Grand tells In Touch Weekly magazine, “He was looking really happy. He couldn’t stop smiling.”

But a Simpson pal insists the couple has got some way to go before they start thinking about a long-term future together: “They definitely went on a date last night. She still loves him… but he’s scared of commitment. He breaks up with her and then regrets it and then begs her to get back together.”

That sounds real mature, what a good thing they’ve got going on there.

Jessica Simpson is currently in Cannes promoting her new movie project Major Movie Star (uh yeah, it needs a name change). Jess has been party-hopping the last few days, but yesterday she was spotted going for a stroll, enjoying the sunny weather, in Juan-les-Pins near Cannes. Meanwhile, she and John Mayer have split! A source close to Jessica says they have split about 10 times before and that it is likely for them to get back together again soon.

A couple of days ago Jessica Simpson hosted the UNESCO Gala in Cologne, Germany, and by the looks of it, she sang! Simpson’s latest album A Public Affair didn’t do as well as hoped and the singer devoted her time to be an actress. Check out the trailer for Jessica’s new comedy flick Blonde Ambition:

Accompanying Jessica was her boyfriend John Mayer, who looked better than her! He chopped off some hair — what an improvement. They are kinda cute together, aren’t they?

Oh sweet Jessica Simpson — what have you done to yourself? I was hoping the trashy in-your-face boob look was just a one-off thing. While I am still loving her dark locks, the make-up (lip liner?!?!), the fake tan and the boobs (you can’t tell in the above pictures, but they were definitely there!) have got to go — it’s trashy. If there is one event where you need to look lady-like and glamorous it’s at the prestigious Costume Institute Gala.

Desperate Housewives star Eva Longoria and good pal Jessica Simpson partied all night long at the 2nd Anniversary of the Pussycat Dolls Lounge, hosted by Simpson, in Las Vegas, on Saturday night. Jessica looks so different.

Jessica Simpson and her boobs (were they always this big?), oh, and her stylist Ken Paves (not pictured — we had to make room for the boobs), headed out for some dinner at the Chi Dynasty and then headed to the hip Dresden Room bar a couple of nights ago. Jess recently said that being in her twenties has made her more confident about her body and she is no longer afraid to show a little, erm, boob!

“I don’t feel the need to impress anymore. I’ve worked for a long time to get where I am, and now I can be comfortable in my own skin. I feel more in control of my life. Outward appearance is just secondary to the confidence that I feel inside.”

These pictures are a little old — from when Jessica Simpson accompanied John Mayer on his tour in Australia — but it’s the first time I have seen these particular shots of the lovebirds kissing in public. The pair spent time on Byron Beach, along with quite a few paparazzi, who managed to snap these cute shots. Aww!
