Some sweet and heartwarming news from Hollywood:
Johnny Depp, Jude Law and Colin Farrell, who completed Heath Ledger’s final film role, have donated their pay to his two-year-old daughter, Matilda.
The generous actors were reportedly worried for Matilda’s future, as Ledger left an old will which did not include his daughter.

Michelle Williams spoke for the first time about her split with the late Heath Ledger in an interview just weeks before his death. In the recently published interview with British magazine Wonderland, Williams says she doesn’t “try and anticipate so much anymore.”
She said: “Obviously so much has changed for me in the last few months that I don’t really have and idea of what my life is going to be.
“I thought I knew certain things and it turned out that I didn’t, so I don’t really try and anticipate so much anymore. I’m not making any bets on the future.”

Heath Ledger’s ex-fianceé and mother of 2-year-old Matilda Rose, Michelle Williams, has released the following statement through her publicist regarding Heath’s passing:
Please respect our need to grieve privately. My heart is broken. I am the mother of the most tender-hearted, high-spirited, beautiful little girl who is the spitting image of her father. All that I can cling to is his presence inside her that reveals itself every day. His family and I watch Matilda as she whispers to trees, hugs animals, and takes steps two at a time, and we know that he is with us still. She will be brought up in the best memories of him.

A devastated Michelle Williams, carrying 2-year-old Matilda, arrived at her Brooklyn home she once shared with Heath Ledger late last night.
Williams was shooting her latest movie, Mammoth, in Sweden when news of Ledger’s death was reported Tuesday afternoon.
Meanwhile, it has been revealed that Ledger’s masseuse, who found him in the bedroom, called Mary-Kate Olsen twice for advice on what to do, before calling 911. This sounds fishy. Always call 911 immediately.

As the world continues to mourn the loss of Heath Ledger, many of his Hollywood friends and admirers from all over the world are speaking out about the terrible tragedy:
Working with Heath was one of the purest joys of my life. He brought to the role of Ennis more than any of us could have imagined - a thirst for life, for love, and for truth, and a vulnerability that made everyone who knew him love him. His death is heartbreaking. — Brokeback Mountain director Ang Lee
I adored him. I don’t know how to compare his talent to others but he’s touched me deeply as a talent and it’s a great loss - losing him at any age would be a loss but it was pretty rough news. I was really shocked by it. — John Travolta
I had such great hope for him. He was just taking off and to lose his life at such a young age is a tragic loss. My thoughts and prayers are with him and his family. — Mel Gibson
What a terrible tragedy. My heart goes out to Heath’s family. — Nicole Kidman
I am shocked and very saddened by the news. I deeply respected Heath’s work and always admired his continuing development as an artist. My thoughts are with his family and close friends. — Cate Blanchett
He was a gentle, beautiful man, a fine actor, a loyal friend. I feel deeply for his family. — Russel Crowe
I am just beyond sad at this point and shocked. I was on my way over to pay him a visit when I found out. I had just left him a message and heard his voice on the machine. He was such a special and genuine person, so extraordinarily talented because he was so raw and honest with his feelings. — Helena Christensen

Heath Ledger’s ex and mother of his daughter, Michelle Williams, was traveling through the night from Sweden, where she has been shooting the drama Mammoth, to New York.
She was seen in Sweden with her daughter Matilda’s nanny and Mammoth director Lukas Moodysson at an airport. A witness tells Usmagazine.com, “Michelle was so quiet … not saying a word. She was in her own world.”
“Everyone feels terrible for her and her child,” a Mammoth crew member adds. “It’s terrible news and saddening for us all.”
Meanwhile, Michelle’s mother Carla and her good friend Busy Philipps, who is Matilda’s godmother, have rushed to New York to comfort the grieving actress. They arrived at Michelle’s Brooklyn home, which she once shared with Heath, in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
Both of the women looked visibly upset as they got out of a limousine and walked into the house.

Prior to his death, Heath Ledger was battling substance abuse problems - including an addiction to heroin - for some time. “He had a stint in rehab last year when he was treated for heroin,” a source told The Daily Mail, adding that Ledger was increasingly introverted at the time of his death.
There are claims the strain of playing the Joker in the new Batman film may have proved too much for the star – in a recent interview he told how the role of a “murderous psychopath” had left him “sleepless and exhausted”.
He was only sleeping around two hours a night, with reports speculating his reliance on sleeping pills lead to his “accidental overdose”.
A police spokesperson confirmed sleeping pills - both prescription medication and non-prescription - were found in the vicinity of the actor’s body. Officers have ruled out foul play.

Heath Ledger’s ex-fiancee and mother of his child, Michelle Williams, is set to be “devastated” by his untimely death. Michelle was on location in Sweden, believed to be with their 2-year-old daughter Matilda, when she got the news. “She’s devastated,” says a source close to the 27-year-old actress.
Although the pair split in September last year, the source says Michelle had always hoped to get back together with Heath once he got his life back on track.
“Michelle is devastated by the news, because she always hoped he would get help and they could manage to work out their relationship for the sake of their daughter. Now poor little Matty is left without a father, and Heath has died a senseless death.”
The source adds: “I can’t believe Matilda is going to grow up without a dad, without knowing her father. And that Michelle will have to deal with having a daughter who’s lost her father. She’s a survivor. She’ll make it, but it’s going to be hard. Her first concern is going to be Matilda.”
