Avril Lavigne just doesn’t seem to give a hoot about anything or anyone — not even her dear fans. Avril turned up over an hour late to a free gig in her native Canada - leaving scores of young fans waiting in the snow.
Avril, 23, was due to take the stage at 1pm for an outdoor concert to celebrate the opening of a Best Buy store in Burnaby, Canada, but didn’t show up until after 2pm, according to reports.
The audience began to walk out after the singer left them waiting for over an hour in the freezing weather conditions. Many of the unhappy fans - who were mostly teenagers - had already queued for several hours to take their places for the gig.

Avril Lavigne, who always makes it a priority to badmouth other singers in order to promote herself, celebrated the release of her new album The Best Damn Thing in New York City a couple of days ago. Personally I think, with this album, Avril has lost some quality. The first single Girlfriend is such a step down from her previous hits such as Nobody’s Home, Losing Grip and I’m With You. This girl used to be good! I was able to look past her snotty attitude because she made great music (with the help of others of course, including the awesome Ben Moody), but now - eek.

Avril Said What?
Avril Lavigne, who I thought was such a punk, kinda mean, anti-Britney sort of person, has spoken out about how Britney has actually inspired her to become a performer. The Canadian rocker says her mother took her to see a Britney concert when she younger in preparation for her own launch into the music world. She told Jane magazine: “My mom made me go to a Britney Spears concert when I was young. I was like ‘No, I don’t want to.’ “She was like ‘If you’re going to be a performer, you need to see other people.’ ”

Avril Lavigne wed Sum 41 frontman Deryck Whibley on Saturday afternoon at a private estate in Montecito, Calif., a source confirms to PEOPLE.
At the outdoor, non-denominational ceremony, Lavigne was walked down the aisle by her father, John, to Mendelssohn’s “Wedding March.” She wore a Vera Wang gown and carried a bouquet of white roses.
The couple said their vows under an awning decorated with white flowers in front of 110 guests, including family and friends from their native Ontario.
Once the groom had kissed the bride, guests tossed rose petals at the newlyweds as they walked back up the aisle.
After the wedding, guests were to be treated to an outdoor cocktail hour before the reception, including a sit-down dinner, under a tent on the estate. In contrast to the all-white ceremony, the reception will have a red theme, with centerpieces of red roses and other flowers.

Canadian rock rebel Avril Lavigne says she has finally discovered fashion and wants to star in “really beautiful” ads.
The stunning singer has signed to Ford Models agency and says she’s ditching her grunge image.
She said: “I’m starting to feel more feminine. I’m getting into hair and make-up and image. That’s the best part of being a girl.”
And Avril thinks she’d be a great model.
“I look through magazines and stare at ads and think, ‘I’m not six feet tall, but I know I can do that’,” she said. “I want to do those really beautiful ads with the high-end products.”
Meanwhile, Avril has signed up to make her acting debut in a screen adaptation of Eric Schlosser’s bestselling expose FastFood Nation.
She will share the screen with Patricia Arquette, Ethan Hawke, and Lindsay Lohan’s ex, Wilmer Valderrama, among others.
The movie, based on the book which exposed secrets of the fast food industry, will be released later this year.
