Former Friends actress Courteney Cox-Arquette has defended her decision to base a character, on the second season of her show Dirt, on troubled Britney Spears. Cox plans to use Britney’s antics — including her divorce and custody battle, and her bizarre head-shaving incident — as inspiration for the show’s second season. But Cox — an executive producer on the show — claims Spears shouldn’t take offense. She says, “This is not an attack on Britney. I am not out to offend anyone.â€
