Orlando Bloom has been laying very low for quite some time now, well, apart from the car accident he was involved in last month. Orlando, who is pictured above at The Savages premiere in Los Angeles a few days ago, spoke out about the incident, that left 2 of his friends slightly injured, to Larry King saying; “It wasn’t a very pleasant situation. But yeah, it is all being resolved. And thankfully, you know, everyone involved is safe and making swift recovery.”
Orlando has no projects coming up, the last we saw of him was in the third and final installment of Pirates of the Caribbean.
I may be extremely late on this one (probably am), but I only recently heard this beautiful song by One Republic called Apologize. As much as I love the original, I have to say I think I prefer Timbaland’s remix, it’s not that different really, but somehow Timbaland managed to make the song even better. The cast of “Grey’s Anatomy” joined striking Hollywood writers on a picket line Wednesday and said they were shooting scenes for their last scripted episode. Actors Patrick Dempsey (not pictured), Ellen Pompeo (top left), Sandra Oh (below) and T.R. Knight (top right), spent their lunch breaks outside the Prospect Studios, where “Grey’s” is filmed. “We’re supposed to be going until the end of May and right now our last shooting day will be Tuesday or Wednesday,” Knight said. “As actors, we’re paid a different way than the writers, but there’s also the crew to keep in mind. They are out of work as of next Wednesday.”
Said Oh: “This matter is way too important not only for our writers, but ultimately everyone who makes movies, everyone who makes entertainment here in this town and again for the rest of the world.” Other cast members included Justin Chambers, James Pickens Jr., Sara Ramirez, Eric Dane (top left) and Katherine Heigl (below).
Things are not looking too good for Britney Spears in the heated custody battle between her and Kevin Federline. Who’s to blame? Britney herself! Britney and Kevin’s attorneys met at a hearing yesterday, where Kevin’s lawyer Mark Vincent Kaplan said that Spears lives in a “parallel universe,” and reminded the court that the singer had been reprimanded three times by Commissioner Scott Gordon for failing to be reachable by phone. “Mr. Federline doesn’t want to take these children out of their mother’s life, but what are we to do?” Kaplan said. Spears did not respond in a timely manner to 8 of 14 random drug test requests.

It’s official — Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony are expecting their first child together. After months of speculation, Lopez finally spoke out about the much wanted pregnancy. She told Miami concertgoers last night: “Marc and I are expecting.” After her announcement, Anthony kissed her belly and said: “I didn’t know she was going to talk.”
The lovely Kim Cattrall who plays fabulous Samantha Jones in the upcoming Sex and the City Movie is pictured above being attacked by an animal rights activist while wearing a white fur coat, during filming in New York recently. Her face in the far right picture is hilarious — classic Samantha! Cattrall recently revealed in an interview with British mag Reveal that she is only doing the SATC Movie for the money.
Cattrall famously negotiated hard over payment for the film, and reportedly had a bust up over Parker’s $US3 million salary - twice that of her co-stars. She told Reveal magazine: “It will be nice to step into Samantha’s shoes again, but I’m only doing it for the money. Samantha is very dear to me and I have such a wonderful time playing her, but I can say for experience than wanting financial security. We did it, we did it well. But it was always about the money.” She continued: “When I made a stand about not being in the movie because I thought the money was terrible, there was a backlash of very negative things from some of my co-stars. The role is very much a double-edged sword.”
Cattrall also said viewers can expect her popular character to ring in an important milestone in the upcoming film. She said: “I really wanted Samantha to turn 50 in the film and she does, so I’m grateful for that. I’m glad she isn’t hiding her age. “After 50, you can still be a woman - you can go shopping, have friends and do lunch. At 50 - you can love and be loved.”
Well, at least she’s honest. I’m so glad she’s in the movie, it wouldn’t have been the same without Miss Samantha Jones.
Dwayne Johnson has admitted that Mandy Moore, his co-star in Southland Tales, is his “kind of woman.” Dwayne, who recently announced his separation from wife Dany, says of Mandy, who plays his wife in the movie, “Mandy is drop dead gorgeous! She is beautiful and sweet and tall! My kind of woman! I can’t say enough great things about her.” Not sure what Mandy thinks of The Rock, as she didn’t attend the recent screening for the movie. I’m sure Jessica Biel never loved the paparazzi, but she never used to go all moody JT on them — until now. Jessica and a gal pal (not pictured) went shopping in Brentwood recently, and Biel brought along her little compact camera to film the snappers with. Lame. Like anyone would give a hoot about her if she wasn’t with ASOB (arrogant son of a bitch) Justin Timberlake. It seems that JT’s moody and s!&t attitude rubs off on his girlfriends. First Cameron Diaz, who suddenly became bitchy towards the paps after getting with JT, only to stop as soon as they broke up, and now Miss Biel, who is a lot less famous.
Dwayne Johnson (also known as The Rock) and Sarah Michelle Gellar attended the screening of their new movie Southland Tales during the AFI FEST 2007 in Hollywood. Sarah’s hubby, Freddie Prinze Jr., was nowhere to be seen, but she sure didn’t seem to mind as she shared some hugs and laughs with her giant co-star. Southland Tales will hit cinemas on November 9th in The States and December 7th in the UK. Check out the trailer below:
