The always adorable Reese Witherspoon spent the afternoon shopping with a friend (not pictured) a couple of days ago. The actress went to men’s clothing store Cloak — maybe to buy a present for her new boyfriend Jake Gyllenhaal?

Despite his cheating, Lost star Naveen Andrews is still with longtime girlfriend Barbara Hershey. The pair were spotted out and about in Santa Monica not long ago — which kind of makes me worried he has been killed off Lost. Although, he isn’t in the new episodes that much, so maybe he has a lot of time off and decided to visit his girl.

A grumpy and camera shy Scarlett Johansson pictured arriving at the Saturday Night Live after party. I don’t know why celebrities bother sticking out their hand like that when there are photographers around. It doesn’t really do anything. The snapper gets his shot anyway and the pictures are sold. I guess its more of a sign that she is in no mood to be photographed and you better step back.

At least something got the former Spice gals together — and that little something was Geri Halliwell’s daughter Bluebell, who was baptised a couple of days ago. Geri, known as Ginger Spice, asked her old band-mate Victoria Beckham to be Bluebell’s godmother. The only Spice Girl who couldn’t make it was Melanie Brown aka Scary Spice. She is currently in Los Angeles taking care of her newborn baby girl.

Ever since shaving her head, Britney Spears has not been seen without a hat on. I guess I can understand that she may be worried her wig is going to fly off (although a hat can fly off too), but if she really wanted to, she could spend a little more than $10 and go out and buy a proper wig. It seems that Brit enjoys the fact that she can change the style, length and color of her hair on a daily basis. Yesterday Brit was caught leaving the Beverly Glen in Bel Air after a quick tanning session. Not very smart going to a tanning salon every single day. Go home, take your kids out in the garden, soak up the real sun, and play with your kids. I’d love to see Britney doing that. Why is she constantly out and about with her cousin? It seems the thing Brit missed the most being in rehab, was shopping.

Paris Hilton is definitely not with James Blunt — silly rumor that was. She isn’t with Kevin Federline either — she is still with her Desperate Housewives actor Josh Henderson (pictured right). Miss Hilton posed for the cameras all night long, with various guys, at yesterday’s birthday bash for Jason Strauss at TAO nightclub in Las Vegas.

On friends and family:
“When my friends and family are around me, I feel like they’re safe. No matter what happens, we’re going to be fine. The craziest things can happen, but it’s OK. The fact that my sister is not here – I’m kind of angry with her. Because it freaks me out. When my friends have left me – I’ve just seen everything collapse. They’re not safe without me.”

On keeping a low profile:
“Everbody’s tired of hearing things about me and [Paris and Britney], so I think it’s just better for them to lie low and get better.”

On rehab:
“It’s so weird that I went to rehab. I always said I would die before I went to rehab.”

On the Georgia Rule scandal:
“I love that movie, and everyone on that set. The stuff that was said from that one night – look, I had a fight with my boyfriend, and I was just tired the next day. I wasn’t even that late when I showed up.”

Ashlee Simpson, whose third album is coming out this fall, opens up in the May issue of Harper’s Bazaar about the plastic surgery rumors, Britney Spears, her style and more. Interview excerpts below:

On changing her look and her rumored plastic surgery:
“I loved how I looked. I’m not an insecure person, nor was I before. It’s a personal choice. I believe if somebody chooses to do plastic surgery, it [should be] for yourself, not for anyone else.”

On her style:
“You know, I was never a dress person, but now, if I’m going to an event, I like to put one on. I have to feel comfortable no matter what. I love Alexander McQueen, and, oh, gosh, I love them all – Fendi, Chanel.”

On criticism she’s trying to look more like Jessica:
“Of course I look like her. She’s my sister. It’s like, God, please! We think it’s quite funny.”

On stars like Britney Spears who are publicly battling their demons:
“I think that they should probably move out of L.A. I think that their parents need to help them.”

Britney Spears has gone from happy and talkative to upset and quiet. The last week or so Britney has been chatting away to the paparazzi and has seemed very happy, but yesterday she was anything but. On Friday morning Britney woke up to see herself mentioned in the papers, in a negative light, by her own father. Whether or not that is why she looked so sad and didn’t speak, when the snappers caught her leaving a tanning salon, we don’t know, but it could well be.
