It’s a boy for actress Gwyneth Paltrow and Coldplay singer Chris Martin.
Moses Martin, the couple’s second child, was born during the weekend in New York City, the office of Paltrow publicist Stephen Huvane said Monday. No other information was being released.
The “Shakespeare in Love” Oscar winner is 33, the British-born Coldplay rocker is 29. Their daughter, Apple, will be 2 years old on May 14.
After Apple’s birth, Paltrow appeared on “The Oprah Winfrey Show” and said she didn’t understand why people were making a big deal about her daughter’s name. Paltrow said it was Martin who came up with Apple.
“It conjured such a lovely picture for me _ you know, apples are so sweet and they’re wholesome and it’s biblical _ and I just thought it sounded so lovely and clean,” Paltrow told Winfrey.

Pop star Britney Spears has been warned to shape up fast or be dumped by husband Kevin Federline by a previous love of the dancer. Spears has a fuller figure since giving birth to their child Sean Preston last year, but Federline’s ex girlfriend Felicia Cabiero insists he is so image-obsessed his eyes will wander unless the singer loses some weight. Cabiero says, “Kev has always had a problem with people who let themselves go. He was determined that he wouldn’t go that way and wouldn’t be married to a woman who did. “When he wed Britney he was sure he had picked a woman who would stay in killer shape all her life, like Madonna or Demi Moore. They had babies and whipped their figures back into shape practically overnight. But she didn’t seem to care after Sean Preston was born. “She didn’t get back into shape and he can’t figure it out. “It’s a vicious circle. He runs around making her jealous, she gets depressed, overeats and doesn’t work out.”

Christina Aguilera has co-written a sexy love song to husband Jordan Bratman on her new album.
The stunning singer - who wed the music executive late last year - is releasing new album ‘Back to Basics’ in June.
The star has worked closely with songwriter Linda Perry on tracks ‘Candy Man ‘ and ‘Save Myself From Me’ - which is dedicated to her new husband.
Aguilera admits recording the LP felt like she was nurturing a new life into the world.
She said: “I feel like I’ve been pregnant for 18 months - it’s been tough.”
The blonde has also revealed the album is heavily influence by early jazz, as well as her favourite pop and soul records from her childhood.
She added: “We dived headfirst into a 20s and 30s vibe. We have a song that sounds like you’ve just walked into a 20s burlesque club. There’s a lot of stuff that people haven’t heard from me before. On one song, I’m just above the mic. There’s no reverb and no effects. No gimmicks at all - nothing.”

Nicole Richie has complained about critics accusing her of being too thin.
The Simple Life star has insisted that she does not have a problem and denied reports of a dramatic weight loss.
“Am I thin? Yes, no doubt about it. But to say I’m on the verge of death is just untrue,” she told Glamour magazine. “My family get really upset to see these people writing lies about their child. Do they ask me about it? No, because they know that I eat.”
“I have days where I’m up at 4.30am and still filming at 11pm,” she explained. “I’ll squeeze in a workout when I have time, but I don’t do any cardio – I don’t need to, I’m too thin. And I eat whatever I feel like, sandwiches, whatever.”

Lost star Evangeline Lilly hates spending winters on the hit TV show’s Hawaiian set - because she misses the big freeze of her native Canada.
While most celebrities would jump at the chance to film on a tropical island, the actress is unnerved by the balmy conditions.
She explains: “(My first Hawaiian winter) was such a surreal experience.
“It’s like a biological clock in my body was going: ‘OK, now is when you are supposed to put on your 10 extra pounds, start eating hearty foods and dress warm.’ I’m a Canadian who was a wuss about the cold.
“But here I was dying to put on the scarves and the boots!”

Orlando Bloom looks ready for take off at a swish party in Schaffhausen, Geneva last night.
The hunky actor was chuffed to bits after being allowed to take to the controls of an old military plane at the air force-themed bash.
Orlando, who is currently in the middle of filming the two sequels to The Pirates Of The Caribbean, was accompanied by stunning on-off girlfriend Kate Bosworth.
And at the end of the night, petite Kate was snapped looking like she needed a little help from Orlando to stand up.

As far as some of her business associates are concerned, Jessica Simpson is not exactly the employee of the month.
The “In This Skin” singer has been sued for $100 million by an apparel company that claims she failed to promote their product as promised, the Smoking Gun Website reports.
According to the complaint, filed in New York State Supreme Court by the Tarrant Apparel Group, Simpson inked a multimillion dollar three-year licensing deal in December 2004 to launch a line of low-priced jeans and clothing.
Under the terms of the agreement, Simpson was supposed to be “actively involved” in promoting the garb, including wearing items from the line at “public events, shows, and appearances” whenever “reasonably practicable.”
However, it seems Simpson attended precious few events she deemed suitable for trotting out the affordable duds, leading the company to gripe that she “simply failed to provide the promised support.”
The company contends that Dukes of Hazzard star even refused to be photographed wearing items from the JS by Jessica Simpson and Princy collections, and that when asked by the press to name her favorite brand of jeans at an event last year, she replied “True Religion,” rather than “Princy.”
Princy jeans, which are named after the nickname given to Simpson by her father, retail for around $60, while True Religion jeans can set the denim connoisseur back upwards of $350.
Tarrant claims that Simpson’s unwillingness to back the line crippled its marketing plan and caused it to lose valuable contracts with retailers.
According to its court documents, the company has already shelled out $2.2 million in licensing fees to the singer-actress and has agreed to another $6 million in guaranteed payments.
The ex-Newlyweds star, who’s already balancing a jam-packed schedule, had not yet responded to the suit as of Friday.
In addition to her ongoing divorce proceedings from Nick Lachey, Simpson is currently in production on the comedy Employee of the Month opposite Dane Cook and Dax Shepard, and recently signed on to star in Major Movie Star, about an actress who hits rock bottom and enlists in the Marines. She is also rumored to have landed a role in the big-screen adaptation of Baywatch.
Meanwhile, she has also been in the studio working on her upcoming album, And The Band Played On, which is expected to released via her new label, Epic Records, sometime this year.
As if that weren’t enough to keep a soon-to-be single girl occupied, Simpson has reportedly been channeling her inner Angelina Jolie by looking into adopting a baby sometime in the future, as well as possibly funding her own orphanage, her rep confirmed last month.

After dating for nearly a year, it’s the end of the road for Ciara and Bow Wow, two of the most successful artists in R&B and hip hop. “Ciara and I have parted ways,” Bow Wow tells TEEN PEOPLE. “I wish her all the best.”
Miss Info, a DJ on New York City’s Hot 97, first reported that Ciara, 20, and Bow Wow, 19, broke up after he was spotted with another girl in Los Angeles last weekend. But a rep for Ciara tells TEEN PEOPLE, “Ciara and Bow Wow have been broken up for a while, but their parting was amicable.”
The Atlanta-based couple worked together on the song “Like You,” which reached number 3 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. They would walk the occasional red carpet together with Ciara sporting a large diamond ring on her left hand’s ringfinger. The bauble raised eyebrows, but when TEEN PEOPLE asked Bow Wow about its significance in September he said, “It’s just a little gift, that’s all. Nothing major.”
During the same interview with TEEN PEOPLE, Bow Wow made it clear that their relationship was so serious that even their families had become close. “My mother is very supportive of everything I do. She loves Ci [his pet name for Ciara] and Ci loves my mother, so it’s a whole other connection,” he said. “I never had that father connection until now. So me and Ci’s father, we bond a lot. I talk to him on a daily basis.”
Ciara, on the other hand, tended to keep quiet about the relationship. “When it comes to that part of my life I am a very private person,” she told TEEN PEOPLE last year. “When you have a chance to talk about the business and how good it’s going, I definitely take advantage of that… But when it gets deeper and deeper to the personal, that’s when I kinda go down a little bit.”

Eminem, whose finesse with words rocketed him to hip-hop superstardom, offered only a few Thursday in response to comments made on a radio show by his estranged wife, Kim, about their failing second marriage.
One day after Eminem filed divorce papers, and 83 days after they remarried, Kim Mathers called a Detroit-area morning show to tell her side of the story.
“He’s having problems with, you know, his problem that he had,” she said, an apparent reference to the sleep-medication dependency for which Eminem was hospitalized last summer. “I was hoping we could get counseling and work it out, you know? …
“Right after he came home from his rehab, we started to have a few problems, and I thought it was going to be in our best interest to delay the wedding,” said Mathers, who was remarried Jan. 14 to her high school sweetheart.
“But he really pushed it and I thought it was really going to be something that worked this time,” she said.
Eminem, however, has not spoken with her in about six weeks, she said, and surprised her by having her served with divorce papers.
“I don’t really necessarily want to get divorced,” said Mathers, whose first marriage to Eminem lasted from 1999 to 2001. “I was hoping he was going to come home and say, `I got us a counselor, let’s go.’ But you know it didn’t work out that way. I got an attorney at the door instead.”
In a statement released Thursday afternoon through his publicist, Eminem said: “The details surrounding both my marriage and subsequent filing for divorce are private, and I had hoped to keep them that way for the sake of my family. However, a few of Kim’s statements in a radio interview this morning need to be addressed.
“First, her allegations regarding my status post-rehab are both untrue and unfortunate. Second, she was aware that I was filing for divorce. We both tried to give our marriage another chance and quickly realized that a wedding doesn’t fix the underlying problems.”
The 33-year-old rapper, whose real name is Marshall Bruce Mathers III, remarried Kimberley Anne Scott a month after the couple announced they had reconciled and were getting back together. The pair grew up in the suburbs along Eight Mile Road, Detroit’s northern border.
Eminem has won nine Grammys, including best rap album for “The Slim Shady LP,” “The Marshall Mathers LP” and “The Eminem Show.” He won an Oscar for the song “Lose Yourself” from “8 Mile,” the semi-autobiographical 2002 film in which he starred.
